Hey!
I have built myself a quadcopter, but still have some rather basic questions as it seems not to be willing to fly…
Maybe it’s best to start with the exact configuration I used:
1x Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter w/ Module & 8ch Receiver
1x Hobbyking KK2.1HC Multi-Rotor Hard Case Flight Control Board With Remote Programmer
1x Q Brain 4 x 20A Brushless Quadcopter ESC 2-4S 3A SBEC
4x 5930 EMP Outrunner brushless motor C2826 KV1000
4x 7x4 SF Propeller
1x FC Z450-V3 Copter Frame Quadcopter Airframe Fiber Glass 450mm Wheelbase MultiCopter (350g)
1x Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack (250g)
The frame is a simple cross (no dead cat setup). Total weight of the copter is about 900grams (32oz). I did not yet attach any camera.
I have the following problems:
If you require any additional info, let me know!
Thanks!
Steph

I have the following problems:
- I am unsure how to setup the motors. When I read posts online, I learn that I have to use the setup provided by the KK2.1 (under the motor layout menu). This basically comes down to motors 1 and 3 turn in the same direction, while motors 2 and 4 turn the other way. However, I also read posts that I should use Counter Clockwise and Clockwise propellers. That confused me as it is unclear to me where I should put these. I currently also only have one type of propellers. Any suggestions?
- Second, I use the KK2.1HC, which has a function to test the sensors. However, it gives an error “acc Z NOK”. This results in the system not starting up. At first I did not have this, but now it didn’t go away. I managed to get it corrected by putting the KK2.1 upside down (saw somewhere a guy who fixed it like that). I am not sure if this will also reverse the functioning of the board, as it might now try to push down the copter instead of going up?
- Last, as you can see above, I use 7 inch propellers with a KV1000 motor. I thought this would be sufficient, but as it seems not to be able to lift the quadcopter? I tried the tool ecalc xcoptercalc and it seems to indicate that I should use 10 inch propellers. However, my exact configuration was not listed on their site, so I cannot be sure...
If you require any additional info, let me know!
Thanks!
