Propeller size

Hello,
I am building my first Quadcopter !!
I have purchased 1400KV A2212/10T motors, can i use 10*4.5 propeller with these motor, either with 2S or 3S ?

I have already purchased 10*4.5 propellers, if they are not compatible with above motor and cause any harm, I will return them and order smaller 8*4 size propellers.

Please suggest.

First off go with 3S. The 10" props would be more appropriate for lower (less RPM) motors like an A2212 1000kv. With your faster spinning 1400kV, 8" would make more sense.

Here's a similar motor.

Seems the popular and readily available 8045 (8x4.5) prop would work fine.

How many amps are your motors and ESCs rated for?

Motor: Idle Current (A) - 0.68/8 Max Current (A) - 20

You probably could, but you'd be pushing the motors, and they'd not last long.

What about 9*4.5. Will they be suitable ?

I think they would, I am running 9x4.7 on 1240 kv motors; they aren't getting a bit warm and provide a lot of lift.
