I just discovered something new, to me anyway. I was balancing some carbon fiber/ nylon hybrid props and I noticed that when I moved a microfiber cloth I had near the balancer the prop moved. When I brought my hand near the prop it followed the up and down movement of my hand. Apparently after sanding and cleaning the dust off with the cloth towel a static charge is introduced in these hybrids. I wiped the props off with a slightly damp paper towel and discovered I had to balance them again. This does not seem to apply to regular plastic or nylon. Just to be safe, I now use a damp paper towel to wipe the dust off when balancing any prop. Better than having to puzzle over a vibration you thought was eliminated. Hope this is a help.
