Propel cloud rider broken motor

Not sure if this is the right area to post this. But my question is: my cloud rider got caught in a tree and a small branch got wrapped around the front right propeller . It continued spinning for a bit and when I finally got it down, the rotor was not working. I was able to take it apart and plug one of the other motors into the plug that the front right motor uses and it worked, so I know my problem is within the motor itself, will these motors burn out internally if it is still trying to spin when a propeller is stuck? This is my very first drone, the very first time I flew it, and now my very first post in this forum, any help would be much appreciated. TIA!

Did you shut down the throttle?

Yeah but not right away, and then it was so high in the tree that I panicked and thought I could get it to free up by spinning the propellers some more. I had to get it out on top of a chair with a rake and when I tried to fly it again as soon as I got it free it wasn't working

... That motor is likely fried, but I'd still keep it for parts !
