So I took my X525 out to a large field for the first time, up until now I have test flown it in our large garden (100' x 40').
I took it up into a hover at about six feet and sent it off, I didn't take it to far before returning it still orientated away from me. I enjoy the sound of the props as I reverse direction and mess about with that for a bit.
Then I took it out to about 200 to 250 feet and about 15 feet high, this is when I got into difficulties, I couldn't properly see its orientation and I took it a little left using Aileron and nothing happened and so tried again, nothing and so I tried a little more aggression and then I was out of control.
Obviously small manoeuvres at that distance are harder to see, its a clear day and I always see dancing lights in my vision when looking at the sky. The result was one broken landing gear and so I attached the broken piece loosely for c of g purposes.
Again I did the same and so now I have three broken landing gear, a slightly bent prop but everything else survived.
Any tips would be gratefully received.
