Problem when flying new RTF - Help?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area! I'm new to this forum and quadcopters in general.

My wife bought me a Proto-Z RTF (see here) for my birthday. I've been having a lot of fun flying it around my apartment and it was easy to fly. Recently my cat batted it out of the air and now it won't fly straight.

What I mean by this is that when I start to fly, it will noticeably favor moving towards the right and, eventually, will only fly right even if I'm telling it to do otherwise.

I'm not sure what would cause this and I'd like to fix it if I can as.

The board needs to be recalibrated most likely...Im not familiar with that model so i cant exactly tell you the procedure for doing that on it.

Re calibrating is essentially zeroing the gyros as they sometimes can go out of whack after a crash or a hard hit and not fly normal afterwards.

This usually involves the transmitter be in high rate (if you have different ones to choose from) and the quad being set down on a level suface..Both sticks are typically moved in the same direction to re calibrate the gyros...you typically see a rapid flashing of the quad lights when its done correctly.

For the quads i have i connect the battery to the quad...turn on the transmitter and bind...then i put it on high rate and either have to move both sticks lower left or lower right untill i see the lights flash rapidly...once i do i go back to my selected rate and fly away...This could very well be the same procedure for your model as well..Give it a shot..it cant or wont hurt anything trying... or maybe Youtube could be you best bet here..Search "Proto Z re-calibration" and see if anything shows up on the particular procedure for your model.
