Thanks. I'm going to try to sneak out to the baseball diamond in between the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game and try this out.
Edit note: Got her done. Easy peasy. Re multiple flight mode. Can I leave it in multiple flight mode even though I don't intend to use any of the intelligent flight modes?
Not quite sure I understand - if I set it in Multiple Flight Mode, shut everything down and then take it out a week later, it will still be in Multiple Flight Mode. I get that. My question is, with it still in Multiple Flight Mode a week later, can I just fly it (switch on the controller set to P) and have it behave normally, with it still remaining in Multiple Flight Mode? If the answer to that is yes (which I think it is), then why would we ever want to take it out of Multiple Flight Mode?Yes. If you don't explicitly start one of the IFM's, you will stay in normal mode.
Let's see - we've got Multiple Flight Mode, Intelligent Flight Mode and Regular Flight Mode. I understand that once you shut it down, you have to re-enable IFM if you want to use one of the intelligent flight modes. That wasn't my question. My question is: If put it into Multiple Flight Mode, shut it down and then start it up again, can you fly it normally, even though it is still in MFM without its being affected by still being in MFM?Once you shut it down, it goes back to regular flight mode and you have to enable the IFM you want to fly with the next time you fly. Think about it, if you were in some crazy mode like rocket or helix, you wouldn't want it to be in this mode the next time you powered up.
I understand all about IFM. That's not my question. My question concerns Multiple Flight Mode. If you shut the quad down while it is in Multiple Flight Mode, when you next fly it, it will be in Multiple Flight Mode when you start it up. Can you go ahead and fly it normally in Multiple Flight Mode without its being affected by being in Multiple Flight Mode, or do you have to take it out of MFM in order to fly it "normally" (which, I guess, would be called Regular Flight Mode)? What Ren said. The IFM's remain ENABLED, so you can access them through the icon on the main flight screen. An intelligent flight mode doesn't stay ACTIVE once you land. in fact, you have to deactivate it in order to land.
Yes, but if I don't disable it, can I fly normally (in Regular Flight Mode) without it adversely affecting the way the quad flies? It,ll stay until you disable itView attachment 3342
FYI - today I finally got around to ordering a prop balancer.Whether or not that's true, balancing your props is a good idea on any quad (or anything else that flies). You can buy a DuBro prop balancer on Amazon, and do a YouTube search on "balancing props". I have always used the sanding/emery cloth way of doing it, but Scotch tape is also ok. It's easy to do. Balanced props are your friend, and even DJI's props are not always well balanced. In fact, I've found about 50% of them can use some balancing from the factory.
