Hi all,
I'm in a doubt.
I have bought this frame:
Tarot 680 pro:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._HexaCopter_Folding_Frame_3K_Carbon_KIT_.html
I'm a novice when it comes to soldering (but I have bought the correct tools and I 'm learning).
I prefer a PDB solution with bullet connectors., therefore I have bought the Tarot 6in1 PDB:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...wer_Distribution_Hub_for_HexaCopter_1pc_.html
But I now realize only the main connectors are 3.5mm. The 6 cups are 3mm. I have the following questions:
1. Has anyone had this frame and if, what PDB solution did you used?
2. Is it recommend for a beginner to solder the wires directly to the gold plated PCB connections? I have a heat adjustable soldering tool and 60/40 solder.
3. Is it an option to fill the cups with solder and pre-tin the wire ends and place it directly in the filled cup with solder? I know it will be a fixed connection but is it good practice for this case?
4. When I choose to solder 3mm connectors to the wire ends en connect it to one of the cups, is it common to fill the cups with a little bit of solder just to act like "glue"?
Please keep in mind I'm not an expert in soldering. If possible I want to use the best plug and play solution and I don't mind if I need to invest some euro's or dollars On the other hand I want to improve my soldering skills (but at the right time at right places).
Thanks!
Regards,
Jurriaan
