Newbie wants some advice please

Hi,

I'm new to Quadcopters but have flown a couple of indoor helis. both twin set blades and single set of blades.
I would like to start off with something cheapist to start with and then build up to a quad for filming and taking photos with.
I do have a Futaba T6 S-FHSS 6 channel radio.
Any advice please and is there any clubs around the Halstead, Essex area.

Hi David , welcome to the forum, i dont know any clubs near you ,i am in luton and will try and help you as much as i can , Now the best little quads to learn on is the nano qx or the mqx but they are blade products so use spektrum, So now the only way to go it a toy quad like the hubsan x4 then go for a bigger when your ready , If you build your own multirotor you can use the transmitter you have , there are lots of options for FC board ,GPS , Return home mode , Are you going to be running FPV and camera or just camera , dji phatom is a very popular camera platform watch this and it will show you what they can do , last link is my mates FPV setup
 
Cheers for the information. I like the idea of FPV. Thinking about getting a Hubsan X4 FPV for learn on or any other suggestions for a beginners FPV for around £150.
And then thinking about building my own later on.
Is there any good books for a start to learn with and any books about building one.

HI David there are lots of quad build logs on you tube , the hubsan is good , but like i said to my mate who has just ordered one , get spare blades, and they are toy quads so treat them gentle . first learn to fly (not FPV mode ) When you can do this with no crashing them go fpv , FPV is harder as you loose where you are and if you level or not , try and fly near you have some one watch and tell you if you start to loose it , it depends a lot on what size the field of view is its harder with narrow view, but i think you pick it up in a few days , also do range test to see what you loose first view or control from transmitter so your now how far you can fly , when you get into the real fpv your have a ground station with signal booster and range will be about 1 mile but your have to have a full range receiver fitted
