So i have another ? .. i got the s500 in and its all together for now till i put the motors/esc and stuff on .. Now my ? is i see that the pcb version has 3 different places to connect the battery to the pcb frame .. if someone can tell me what they are used for it wold be great .. the instructions suck and the internet not giving me much info .. i just want to make sure i solder it right .. plus im buying the apm 2.5 flight controller and it comes with power module and its alittle confusing as to how to hook it up but just looking for alittle info thanks again in advance thanks Will

Hi will I think that PDB is used on lot of different quads so you just find the one that suits the quad you have the best and solder power leads to that

This one has it all built in so dont need pdb .. but maybe would be better ... not sure .. here is pic below .. i know that the one on the right side(in pic) is for the battery but i have to figure out what the other 2 (bottom of pic)are for maybe thats where i connect gimball power ? . the bottom pic is power module ill be using

Hi Will you can remove female xt60 and solder wires to the PDB then power it up and see if the bottom points have power if yes, then they power the camera for FPV and a gimbal
Whats the power module going to be used for

So thats what i was asking .. so i just need to connect power mod to one side of battery connector and the other i can solder to board and connect to rec and im good .. then i can pick up connectors for powering gimbals and fpv when im ready .. the power mod is it necessary or not needed for apm fc ..

Hi Will yes it needs this so when you fit it make sure it will reach and not stress the leads

Sounds great what props , Carbon fibre are the best on the bigger quads as the other snap due to stress fractures

i was going with plastics to start out .. but may just buy the carbons .. im thinking 1045 1047 props ?

Carbon 10x4.7 gives a really nice lift I had them on my 450 and 666mm quads

so i got it most together i got motors installed and dont know what the wires go to theres not a diagram .. the ones i got have yellow/black/red if anyone can tell me whats a b and c would be greatly apprieciated thnx Will

Hi Will ok the motors will have 3 wires it does not matter what one plugs into what one , if motor spins the wrong way just swap any 2 wires, this will make it spin the other way the esc has 3 wires motor side and 2 wires the power side and the small servo wire

I have heard good about them, but I am an old fart and we dont do programming so I stayed away from them , once your running you can become the forum expert on that board
