I want something with more range and more speed id like 2 spend less then 125 bucks usa. ty for all replys
need to upgrade a syma x5c!!!

Look at what version board you have which is written on the flight board..If it says V3 or v6 at the end of the part number then more range is extremely easy...if it says v5 then you are limited to a stock tx range mod which will give about 80m of range..Stock is maybe 30 to 50m.
A new V6 board, if you can actually confirm this is what you will be sent is about $12.00 from china shipped...With this board you can use the Syma X8C transmitter for another $12.00 and have more range then you will ever use especially if by only using your eyes to see the quadcopter.
More speed and power is easy..Either lighten the quad or replace the motors with 8.5mm motors.
If you just want a different quad that is already faster with more range this is an easy and cheap alternative as well.
Are you wanting to carry a camera?...If not, the Nihui U807 is a great little quad designed more for sporty flying and has quite a bit more speed than a stock x5c...It can carry a camera but the x5 does a better job at that.
If you just want a speed demon and dont care about size or carrying a camera ,then look into the JJRC1000A bind and fly model and pick up a Tarantula x6 radio...for about $30.00 or less for both your speed craving and range wants will be solved, plus some...You can expect 100m or slightly more

awesome ty for ya reply I'm already addicted to flight of quads well other then the times I almost lost the quad last time I almost gave up then found it in street unhit by car luckly last night it was in tree.

ps what do you think of the syma x8c?
I'll second the Nihui U807. My first quad was the Syma x5C-1 and I still fly it but the U807 is fantastic. I liked it so much I bought a second one! A real sport flyer and you can really punch it up with the "mode" switch on the transmitter.

I purchased one but i havent flown it just yet..A few preparations i wanted to do first ..The X8C is not going to be a fast quad..It is more for carrying a camera much like the x5 is.
Dont over weight it down and perform routine maintenance and it should be a fairly reliable quad..i cant wait to get started on it...Should be fun.
Im working on like 6 projects and havent gotten to the X8C just yet.

cool I hope u like it I say one thing about the x5c it sure is good at getting stuck in trees got it stuck again tonight.

You can get a bit more speed from your x5c if you arent opposed to doing some changes.
The jjrc1000 flight board is a very popular board used in many different applications to improve a quads performance...Syma doesnt really use a very aggressive programming with pitch of the quad so, its not going to be all that fast even if you installed faster more powerful motors...The props and gearing arent designed for speed but more for lifting torque.
Just swapping the board for a jjrc board would be a huge difference in its overall performance...Now, add the more powerful motors and its even better but still limited to the prop and gearing design...If you can solder you can build whatever quad you want as long as you have a compatible transmitter to use with the board.
I have plans to do a flight board swap myself at some point and it should make the x5 a capable sporty/camera model combined but still not as fast as say the u807 which is more geared to be a sporty quad.

ive had the x8c for some time its stable and easy to fly but is let down by the vibration causeing jello efect on camara look on utube for soloutions

Most of all your vibration comes from the props not being so well balanced..Balancing the props would make a big difference.
Vibration = less motor rpm capability and more power consumption as well as the vibration issue for the camera.
Doing nothing to balance the props and doing some credit card camera mod does nothing to resolve the problem and only masks it.

so sad my x5 wont work it just had fast blinking lights and don't seem likes in binding which sucks it will be a few weeks to I get my new quad and I'm addicted to flying grrrrr.

Yea..parts are fairly cheap but no where near as cheap as for the x5...Its not that difficult to get your x5 fixed and flying like a champ...Its probably the most popular quad in the toy quad industry and its for a good reason...its a bummer you got a defective quad but it does happen.
If you decide against fixing it then shoot me a PM with how much you want for it if you're in the states...i might take it off your hands to help you pay for the X8 if thats something you would be interested in.

The Banggood USA warehouse has them for $45.00 with free shipping and only takes 7 days to get to you...You should receive the upgraded version like i did with the newer v6 board in it...Now buy a Syma X8C transmitter for another $15.00 or so and you now have more range than you would ever use..you wouldnt be able to see the quad at 300m plus.
Gearbest has a bind and fly for $23.00 (no camera, TX, spares or battery) but i dont know if it has the v6 board in it or not.

I think ill order a new x5 and x8. I sure miss flying and it will be a whileb4 I can afford new copter. stinks4 sure
