Need help if I'm going in the right direction (first build)

This is my first build (quadcopter), I have built rc car kits in the past but this is a whole new ball game but I would like a stable drone that I could eventually put a camera on, I've been doing as much research as I can and have come up with a similar build to someone's I found online, my two my questions are, what battery would be best? because no matter how much I read up on it I just get more confused with the different specs, and finally are there improvements to my choice of items? like cheaper or more effective products?

I need to say I've already brought the motors which I hope wasn't a mistake, I live in the UK and all this adds up to just under 1500g in weight (without a battery)

looks good though I'd suggest a flight controller that can run cleanflight or betaflight. Also I'd like to menton that racers may be a little cheaper to fly and maintain, but don't have the continuous flight time or lifting capabilities. Yours seems to be more geared toward aerial photography so that may not be a concern to you. For a quad this sized I like the Turniy Multistar 3S1P (or 4S1P) 5200mAh battery. I've had one that I really like for bigger quads, however for smaller quads where C rate matters I'd suggest you stay away from the multistar line and get Tattu brand or Bonka brand batteries.

If you can I'd suggest getting Blheli ESCs just because Bleli firmware gives a much smoother response from the motors out of the box. XT60 connectors are probably fine, I like them because they are really common, though Deans certainly have their advantages. As for the transmitter I think it is a great choice, I've been suggesting it for quite a while now and everyone who I know that owns them really loves it.


These are just some small things I see, and some included irrelevant input and opinions, so do with it what you will keeping that in mind.

I am going for a stable aerial photography quadcopter but want to makes sure I can successfully build one that actually flies first, I've managed to cancel my order for the motors bought and chose some sunnysky's also took your advice on the battery and ESC here's my updated list:
