Hello everyone, just getting into quadcopters for the first time. I've owned some rc cars in the past and a very small heli, but I feel this will be a whole new world. Thought I'd say hello to everyone here and post up my plans / what I have bought so far. I'm looking into eventually stepping it up to FPV, my original intentions were to make a 3d printed frame and start from there. Turned out my 3D printer was about 10mm to small to fit the frame parts on the print bed. I wanted a decent size quad, I was looking at making a 500mm. I also didn't want to spend a lot on it since it was my first and I'm sure I will be crashing it. Here's what I got so far and plan on ordering.
Ordered Stuff...
Frame: DJI F450
Motors: Turnigy 2830-11 1000kv Out runners
Props: Full Carbon fiber 8x4.5 cw&ccw
ESC: Turnigy Plush 30A Programmable
Tx/Rx: Turnigy 9X 9ch radio w/ module (v2, mode2)
Need to buy...
Flight controller: Right now I'm looking at a KK2.1 board but its back ordered. I've seen a KK2.1.5 not sure what the difference is.
Battery: pretty much my last buy, I still need to figure out how much thrust this thing will put out so I can buy a nice sized 4S or 3S that won't weigh too much. But looking at a Turnigy Nano-Tech 4Ah 4S battery 14v
If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears , I'm new at this so I'm willing to take in as much info/advice as I can get.
