My first custom quad

This is the latest frame i build, now it uses aluminium reinforced arms, the carbon tube is used as a backbone for the center body.
It weigh 2300grams with camera and gimbal attached, but it take off with just 40% of thrust. I use a polyfoam guard to keep the prop from bumping into things and i make the motor upside down to maximize the thrust

Nope, still using my laser cutter heheheh, using just 15% of power to cut the 5mm polyfoam and then glue it together to make it thicker

Ok, so small enough to cut thin wood, and maybe some aluminium? I I was going to build a laser/CNC rig, but spent on my quad xD. So, is your laser setup up to cut from a PC, or just a bench top type?

No, it can't cut metal material, just wood or mdf max 12mm thick, acrylic and can do engraving. It was set to cut from a PC, actually it was made in china hahahaha LOL, the cutting size are 130 x 90 cm. the laser tube is quite big, it was placed in the back of the machine and the laser is delivered via a series of mirrors to the focusing lens

Haha, upgrade to a 1200 watt one and start cutting steel. Thick as that'd cut your quad would need some big props xD.

Hahaha, no no, i don't need that kind of power....yet hahahaha, mostly working with acrylic no thicker than 10mm so 100 watts is more than enough

Yeah, haha. You never know whnn you may want 90mm thick cast iron for your quad.
