Motors won't turn

Took the quadcopter out of the box and charged the battery. Put it in the drone, turned the drone on and also turned the transmitter on. Motors are turning the blades and got it to hoover at about four feet for a while. Landed it and turned everything off, had to run some to the store. Came home tuned everything on and all the lights came on but I can't get the motors to turn. Is there something on the transmitter that I'm doing wrong?I have the JJRC H8D.

You have to do the setup (bind) process every time you start it up.
 
Is there a procedure to turn the motors on? Try this: take both sticks and point them at opposing bottom corners. Or try positioning sticks to both downward-inside corners. This is a common way to turn on motors. Hope it works
