So I ordered another Steam Locomotive!

I'll now have 2 Quadcopters, 3 steam Locomotives, and 1 Diesel Locomotive, plus others on display. (Railroad and Slot Car layouts also pictured.)

Very nice setup, Hal. My father in law has a big setup like that, but it's all trains.

I think you have more hobbies than any 3 people combined. I feel like you need a warehouse to store all of hobby stuff. Maybe one for the telescopes and another for everything else. Also, calling @Tentoes cause I know he's into (or was) the trains, as well.

It's getting to be spring here. When it warms up a little and I finish up some of the winter projects, I'll get back to training. Been really windy all month so I have done very little flying.

Oh, yes: I do trains outside.

That’s awesome, Ten! Even though I knew they were in your yard, my brain kept saying that looks actual size. I can’t imagine how much time went into getting that put together. Probably expensive on the wallet too, but I imagine the time might be more shocking than the cost.

I'm autistic and have some sensory processing problems, particularly with hearing and touch. For example, it hurts when my blanket touches my skin and I have to be careful to keep the sheet between it and me or it attacks. I only wear socks because they make shoes tolerable. Cotton is about the only thing I can wear. My avatar doesn't wear a hat, but I can barely see without one.

For 50-some years, I just thought I was weird or something. Now that I know that I am weird, I quit trying to pretend not to be. Now if I could find a way to make a living again.

Hey Tentoes:

Since your railroad is an outdoor layout, I assume it's a G-Scale railroad.

How long is the main run? Your low-angle photography makes the layout look very realistic!

When I moved into my High Desert home 20 years ago, I had a 20' x 25' Game Room built, and this gave me room to build a G-Scale indoor railroad. I laid out the route in the game room and extended it through a portal in the wall that entered the unused 3rd car space of our garage.

It was a continuous "folded dogbone" layout that was 150 feet long, and all indoors. The train is shown on a display shelf; its a Colorado & Southern 2-6-0-Mogul with a short consist, all by LGB.

Then I downgraded to an"O-Scale 2 Rail" 130-foot around-the-room layout, also a "folded dogbone", and after that to my present HO-Scale road, which I'm working to complete. The O-scale train is also displayed on a shelf.

How long? I have an odometer car and used it a couple years ago to make a flier for an open house, but we added lots of track since then, so I really don't know. See http://barefootelectronics.com/Product001.aspx (Barefoot Electronics is where I try in vain to sell things to garden railroaders.)

I have a train left over from when I had a job. Right now, I live with a friend and help him with his garden.

Here is my train in 2011 when I was a little more prosperous. This is at the famous annual get together in Nebraska City, Nebraska. I've added a few cars since then.

Mine had a minor mishap this weekend. Since she runs on a battery and remote control, she doesn't have sense enough to quit trying to go when she's off the track. Should have shot a video as she looked rather comical

Maybe I should build in an accelerometer so she'd be smart enough to stop going when tilt is too excessive. She runs on my own design and built remote controller.
