I wasn't quite sure where to post this thread, but am running into an issue. I have heavily researched this topic, but there seems to be nothing corresponding directly to the DXE. My main issue is that I can't seem to get my transmitter to communicate with my computer. I have tried both of the Spektrum specified programming cables (one with usb and one with audio jack) as well as a standard audio jack to audio jack cable. I have also downloaded Smartpropoplus and I believe that this is where my problem lies. Smartpropoplus recognizes that something is plugged in, but will either say that it can't map/locate the stick positions, or that the signal is too weak so it won't read the input from my transmitter. I have also checked my computer settings to verify that the microphone isn't muted and that the audio levels are maxed. But I am not very computer savvy.
I'm not sure if this is the only way to go about using my transmitter for a simulator (other than spending $40 on the Spektrum wireless dongle), but I'm fresh out of ideas. There are ample videos and posts about the dx6/dx6i, but none of those work obviously.
Anybody have any ideas?
Also, don't know if this helps or not, but I'm using Windows 8.
