Left joystick won't return to center on Hubsan H107D FPV X4 controller

Hi,

I just received my new Hubsan H107D FPV X4 quadcopter purchased through Amazon from Battery Superstore. The left joystick on the controller does not return to center when pushed forward or backward and released. It does return to center when pushed right or left and released. The right joystick does return to center if pushed forward/backward and right/left.

I haven't powered anything up yet because joystick doesn't seem right.

Is the left joysticek broken? How do I get it fixed?

It's fine, that's how they work. Also gimbal sounds better than joystick.

Thanks for the info, Jackson. I thought for sure that the left gimbal was busted right out of the box. Gimbal - not joystick. So I guess I shouldn't call it my "Airship" either? A little old fashioned? ;-O Oh well, that's a newbie for you.
My interest in drones is really a crossover from my main hobby -- railroad motorcars. I belong to an organization that has sanctioned operating trips on railroads across the country using our individually owned railroad motorcars (speeders). Our website, www.narcoa.org, will tell you more than you ever want to know about our hobby. I have seen drones flying several times in other locations but the first time I saw the actual operation of a drone was on one of our trips. The son of a member flew his drone while we were operating in upper Michigan. Very cool! I wanted one (a drone) right away. Here is a link to a short clip filming us (is that the right word since we no longer use film??) coming into a RR station in Traverse city MI. The pilot is riding in the right hand seat of the car that is second from the rear. He's operating a Phantom 2.

FWIW there are many in the hobby who object to the word 'Drone' which they feel has negative connotations. Multirotor or quadcopter is actually more descriptive.

That is pretty cool, it is also a kind of underground hobby, but I have seen people pay a small fortune at auctions for older model trains haha. I'd probably crap myself to know what you pay on getting the full sized stuff going xD.
