That didnt work.
All it did was start motor #2 and #4 first, then #1 started and then #3 started.
Basically just changed the pattern of which ones start first

the KK manual gives a full list of pre-flight checks and setup, you should probably follow that - Appendix G
HI sorry bit late on this thread that transmitter is 72 hz , most of use use 2.4 g now so may be worth looking at a newer one , any way go in menu on the KK I think its misc settings there will be a min throttle its normally 10 change this 2 points at a time till all motor fire at the same time

Will the 72 hz still work though? If it will work for now until I get the hang of flying it, id rather do that and then look at upgrades later.
I did find that somewhere about increases the minimal throttle. And that did work! just not all the way. It seems the quad wants to fly more t the fly when it takes off than anything.

Sometimes when you calibrate none of the ESCs will start at all, if you run into that just do it again, or do them one at a time if pass-through mode is not working well.
Ive done the calibrating about 4 times
Does it work now, or just not work at all?
HI mate as for transmitter it will work but the range may not be as good as 2.4g and interference may be a hit and miss when flying , if the setting does not work I told you to change it only goes from zero to 20 , and you think it an esc calibration problem , just plug one esc at a time in to motor 1 pins calibrate it then plug in the next till all 4 are done then remove the red wire from 3 then the one that still has the red is motor one
THat is probably what he is getting at as motor 1 is the only one that needs the red (5v+).

NO BEC.
Although he doesn't have any spare channels on his RX, a UBEC could could also be plugged into the RX and it will power the KK2.
