I also scored one of these for $29.98 (actually $9.99 + 19.99 shipping). This quad is about $90 on Gearbest right now.
This model isn't even one that I was shopping for, but I had gone to ebay and searched for "FPV quadcopter" and then I saw this model which I had never heard of before. I was sold when I saw that this has altitude hold and 5.8G FPV transmission. I haven't seen many reviews, so I don't know of what, if any, downsides this model has, but for $30 I figured I couldn't go wrong. I kind of wish I picked up another at $30 if only just to have for spare parts.
I ordered from this seller http://www.ebay.com/itm/141850841216 and I see he has now raised the price by $10. The guy has good feedback and if it's a scam, I'm not worried because eBay's buyer protection will cover it.
If this guy delivers and if he's legit then this would seem to be a heck of a deal. Looks like mine will arrive between December 31 and February 3.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to receiving my JXD 509G and hope you will report back here with your experiences once you get yours.

For rings mostly, never bought from an eBayer with so few transactions. And something about the pic he posts don't look right, isn't it a JXD?
This also seems odd.
The ones I've seen reviewed come with an actual 5.8Ghz screen/reciever.
Tmart want's $7.24 just for a pair of spare motors.

Yeah, I thought the part about the cellphone holder was a little weird. I did see it, and I even sent him a message about that to ask if this was indeed the 509g with the 5.8g transmission and not the version that uses a cellphone for FPV viewing. I waited a little for a reply but heard nothing and these seemed to be selling fast, so I didn't wait around any longer for a reply and just pulled the trigger and bought one. At the very worst, I'll have to open up a case with eBay and have my time wasted if this doesn't include the 5.8Ghz screen.
So I'm just patiently waiting like RAnst4038 is for a package from overseas and I'm not certain I'll get what I thought I paid for, but I'll hope it is.

Well how many days has it been? Have you gotten a shipped notification? That's what I like about buying from good eBay sellers they usually get products shipped in <2 days. The best, sometimes the same day if ordered in the morning.
I ordered on Saturday, the 12th of December, and got a shipped notification on Monday, the 14th. Good or bad, I'm anxious to see what I'll get from this seller.

The trick was using the Part # L504 the guy on Ebay is just the salesman.
But then it was dispatched from the closest Grainger.

I just logged into eBay to check up on the status for the JXD 509G that I purchased.
The picture of the item is gone and the link to the auction doesn't work.
The only thing that appears is the following text:

That doesn't look too promising.
So I'm wondering if this seller did what another seller did when I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note phone at a too-good-to-be-true price. The guy basically sold a phone that was going for around $400 for around $100. Me and others took the bait and purchased one. The guy even posted real USPS tracking numbers that showed that a label was printed. But he never shipped anything and wouldn't respond to any communication. Eventually, other buyers started leaving negative feedback and eventually eBay refunded my purchase after I reported the fraud.
So what do others think? Do you see what I have shown you when you log in to your eBay account and look at your JXD 509G purchase?
Edit: After posting this, I went to eBay and opened up an issue explaining that I was concerned about if/when I'd get my item, that I was concerned the seller's account is no longer active, and that the tracking number I was given with the China Post indicates the item is not yet in transit and has never been scanned by the China Post. And about 5 minutes after submitting my concern to eBay, eBay responded with the following:

RAnst4038, was yours sent through China Post? Mine was, but nothing changed in the tracking status after the tracking number was issued.
I'm going to keep my eyes open on eBay and buy from a different seller. You gotta love eBay though. They refunded my money without a hassle.
edit: I just checked out who you (RAnst4038) bought from - hk.0442 and he's selling a lot of the same things (atheletic championship rings) as the seller I bought from, so I wonder if they're related some how.
If it arrived on my doorstep tomorrow, I'd feel kind of weird.
