JJRC X1 Quadcopter - Opinion

Hello, I'm new here so I hope I write in the right section.

I'm planning to start my drone collection, but I, currently, don't have a big budget. So I stepped onto this JJRC X1 Quadcopter which costs about 114 euroson GeekBuying. Do you have any experience with JJRC quadcopters, or even better the X1?

Seems good, nice flyer.

Looks kinda like this one.

The HiSky though gives you a decent 6 channel radio with a 6 model memory, which means you can setup 6 quads with discrete settings.

With the addition of inexpensive 7 channel RXs you would be able to also use it for up to 5 more quads if you ever get into build your own.

Thanks for replying. It looks cool, but it's a bit more expensive.. Does it worth the extra ~45 euros? If it does, I might wait a couple of weeks to manage to gather the extra money.

This Quad is good, flying fast and stable, the WLtoys Q282G RC Hexacopter also recommended, here is flying video

Today I found the YiZhan i6s on the same shop with only 35 euros. It has also a 2MP camera for taking pictures and video. I think I'm going to buy that, so in case something's about to go wrong I won't wreck a 120euro quadcopter.

The X1 is fairly a new quad...youre best bet for any sort of feed back is going to be youtube.

Although it is brushless its still going to be somewhat of a toy grade quad...JJRC like many other toy quad companies all have hit and miss products...No one company makes every quad a great product.

Just some advice to you from me...If this is going to be your first quad you need to be very careful with it..Brushless quads are no joke, are extremely fast and ,can injure people if not careful...I really wouldnt recommend the X1 as your first quad...its just friendly advice.

I've had some experience before and I would want to take the next step. Would you recommend something else? I saw videos on youtube and it seems like a nice quadcopter

I may have missed where you said you had some experience....Just lookin out.

Well I had a little experience with a mini quadcopter, but not with this one in particular. So I would like to know if the transmission from a mini quadcopter to a brushless one is a wise choice.

Its going to be a different experience...Its much faster..Alot more powerful and its not something you can bounce off a wall and it be ok.

Im not telling you not to go with it, im just wanting to be sure you understand the huge difference you are going to experience and also make sure you know of the much greater safety precautions you will need to take with it.

Brushless motors and props equals deep gashes in your flesh that will need medical attention..not a small possible scratch and little laugh as your mini quad runs into you.

Just be aware of safety for yourself and others and you should be ok.

Ok thank you very much for your warning! I think I'll go for it but I will be very careful, as you mentioned

The reviews are pretty good on this, and it looks very cool. You,ve already got some experience so this looks like the pefect quad to step up to. You aren't going to find a brushless setup any cheaper. Go for it!
