JJRC H25G Modifications

I just acquired my second JJRC H25G quad, which I plan to leave pretty much in original condition as a "control model", to compare upgrades and modifications that I perform on my first one, and others. I already found out as I had suspected, that they all operate on whatever frequency that is set at the factory. As the flight controller from the first one that I got last year, will pair up with the new one also. As such, I see no need to use the second controller, other than as a spare. I had already upgraded the first controller by replacing the original 550 mah 3.7v battery with one rated at 1200mah. The new controller doesn't appear to be much different, other than it now comes with a folding viser to shield the viewscreen from surrounding ambient light when using the FPV camera. The only other upgrade that I made to the first controller, was to install an external 2db Wifi antenna.

Further examination has revealed other differences between the first quad that I bought last year, and the new one. Which appear to be a running change on the assembly line. The older quad had a three-pin port on the underside for the included FPV camera. The new one reyains that same camera and three-pin port. However, there is an additional five-pin port on the opposite end of the underside of the fuselage, seperated by the on-off switch. The FPV camera is backward compatible with the older controller, as it will transmit images to the viewscreen on the older one. There is nothing mentioned in the included instruction manual, to account for the ourpose of the additional five-pin port. The motors, as with the older one, appear to be the same brushed motors in use on the Syma X8 models, with similar props. Due to being at a truck stop with eighteen-wheelers constantly coming and going, I'm not able to test for any noticeable chsnges in flight characteristics fro m the one I bought last year. I'm also seriously looking at the JJRC H26 models, which appear to be a poor man's version of the Yuneec Typhoon G, with similar landing struts, a powered camera gimbel, and possibly brushless motors.

JJRC definitely has something in mind, to be adding currently-nonfunctional buttons to the controller for their H25G quad. Has anybody heard any rumors as to what additional functions they may be developing?
