So this is my first quad copter, just got it for Christmas. it was a lot of fun for about three batteries then one of the motors quit working (of course). i was told this was a hobby grade quad so in my mind it should last longer than that. i still need to contact horizon hobby to see if the will cover it. I have a few questions on the minis. 1) Are the little motors so fragile that a semi hard crash could cause it to stop working. 2) is their any motors besides the manufacturer Blade that would work that are better made or a slight upgrade. Are motors that size universal with connectors and compatible with the motherboard. 3) the spare battery i got for it is not the same exactly. the one it came with was a 1s 3.7v 150mah 25c and the spare they sold to me is a 1s 3.7v 150mah 45c. i think the are compatible as much as i know about batteries but not sure what the last number means. thank you for reading this and any help is greatly appreciated.

well Gramps thank you for the info i sent them an email a few days ago but never got a reply but i read on this forum somewhere that its best just to call them and they took care of it and a new one is in the mail. sorry i didn't put any pics on. hope to be up and flying soon these little things are a blast. i did find out my battery question as well, it just has to do with the current and wont drop volts as easy so sweet first upgrade. next question in what is next. it is winter in Montana so not gonna be flying outdoors, this mini i have now comes in a safe mode and as far as i can tell it just levels out the copter when you let go of the controls not sure if the bigger ones have it or not but how had is it to fly where you have to self correct if you do and would it be best for the long run to run that way so a guy wont have to relearn how to fly.

If you want to look into another quad that in my opinion fits into the same category as this one, look at the holy stone predator, it's a 170, and it's a clone of a hubsan quad, but man is it fast and agile. It's what I've been learning to fly on. There are a few youtube videos of it, and it's only 40ish bucks on amazon. I've smashed mine really hard alot of times and it's still perfect.
