I have 3-4 years of flying dji gps drones, mavic pro mainly...& line of sight entry brushless like the mjx bugs 6 & 8pro. No fpv outside of using my dji RE goggles with my mavic pro.
I so have the ocusync air fpv kit that allows you to install dji fpv systems in race quads or anything u want really but from what I read it has too much latency for real crisp fpv flying so I am going to get fatsharks to mate up to this quad once it is built instead of even attempt to use it here
Right now I am doing forum research, studying other posted builds and came to the conclusion it might be best for me to just copy someones build. Because literally I have just the very basic knowledge of how it all goes together with no hands on experience.
Ifear i will buy parts that i will wish i had not. Either compatibility limitations/issues to getting a lesser quality part than i could have, etc
Would you review what I am doing here and add your input. Anything at all from what transmitter makes sense for this setup and especially places i do not need to spend tons of cash being its my first one. Parts ill need or dont want to forget. Compatibility tips.
im afraid to buy anything more than this until i know what I am doing.
AstroX JohnnyFPV X5 kit +full plastic pack
Lumenier 2207-8 2400kv johnnyFPV V2 motors
FlyColor X-Tower F4 FC+40A BlHeli32 4n1 esc stack (supposedly almost solder free?)
Lumenier AXII Stubby 5.8g Antenna (Rhcp)
TBS Unify Pro 5G8 V3 (sma)
TBS Crossfire Nano-RX SE plus immortal T antenna
3Dpower full kit w/ go pro mounts, tba antenna mounts, etc
GoPro Session 5
Also i have a ‘runcam niteowl ver2 or 3 that was like 100$ back when it was new but i noticed so many newer runcam models have been released since then. Not sure its relevant for this build. Like the immersion rc 600mw video tx i bought with the run cam a year back when i was going to build fpv rc trucks. It seems the heli world has gone to mini and stackable hardware
Thanks
