How well do the Flysky receivers work with various flight control boards? They're selling pretty cheap on eBay, and I like the idea of two antennas for better signal reception.
The best receivers in terms of range and reliabilty of the signal are the FS-ia6b and x6B. They use the IBUS protocol which is faster and gives you more channels and only requires a single wire to the FC. IBUS is easier to work with. The FS-ia6b receiver is the more versatile because it has pins for servo cables say if you wanted to build a plane , but it's more bulky with it's case than the x6B which has no pins. The X6B is smaller and more appropiate for quads.
There are mini Flysky iBUS receivers like the A8S and FS-RX2A Pro more are coming onto the market but they have less range.
The older PWM Flysky receivers are not worth buying for a quad. PWM receivers require individual wires for every channel which makes the build more messy and cluttered.
The FS-i6X with FS-ia6b or X6B bundle is a good deal.
The quality of the gimbals on the FS-I6 and FS-I6X are the same. There is no difference in the throttle feel. I believe that's what your thread title is about ?
The FS-i6 has only 6 channels out of the box, which means only 2 of the switches can be configured to your liking which is limiting. But the good thing, the firmware (free download, if you buy the usb date cable) can be upgraded to 10 channels, which enables 4 more switches, so immediately becomes much more versatile.
The FS-i6X has 10 channels out the box, so 6 switches are ready to be configured. No updating is necessary.
