Hello everyone, I need some help. I am trying to build my first APM quad and I am not having any luck. Here is the set up. ( I Know is cheap but I have seen quads using it so, why not me?)
Dialtone Q450 Ghost Frame
4X 2212 930KV Brushless Motor
4Pcs Simonk 30AMP 30A SimonK Firmware Brushless ESC w/3A 5V BEC for DJI F450 US
APM 2.6 Flight Controller+GPS +3DR Telemetry + OSD+Current Sensor for ArduPilot
4 10x4.5 Props 2 cc + 2 ccw
I have done the calibration with the flight controller installed on the quad and also with it not installed on the quad. I get the same results. I am not able to fly it. as soon as it takes of the ground it start to rotate to the left and if I was giving it left ruder input. Also even if I give full right rudder it will not stop rotating. It will jump up and fly up with a bit of throttle. I can not control how it will climb or descent. I have done the ESC calibration and the motors will start at the same time. Now yesterday I was trying to fix it and I did the following. did the whole APM set up using the wizard. ( I usually do it with out the wizard) All the electronics were installed. After that I went outside and did the ESC calibration. After the calibration it will not arm for like 2 to 3 minutes (The APM already had a GPS lock and still took 2 to 3 minutes). After that it did. I started to try and fly it but it was rotating to the right and there was no way to stop it with the rudder. After a couple of failed attempts to fly it one of the ESC started to smoke and it burned out. So far that is all that I have been able to do with it. I have seen a lot of videos of people with the same apm set up and I cannot understand why mine is not working. I hope that someone can help me with this.
Thank you
