hey guys idk if you remember me but i was here a while ago and i had a mental break down but i ended up getting really good at flying and made my first video a couple weeks after back in june! however a couple flights after i had a crash that was pretty expensive so i left the hobby and now i am ready to go back!!

here is my first flight - i got pretty good :D this was like my 10th flight ever i think


also i am back in heaven (minnesota) i think living in florida greatly contributed to my mental breakdown. you really can't move from MN to FL and except to be a normal functioning human being.




also somethingthing i learned the hard way that i think will be greatly helpful:

don't use the 90 degree antennas like these because if you crash at the right angle they can unscrew and fry your VTX! better to use antennas like these

to get back in the air i need to buy a new charger, batter, antennas, vtx and a camera - i but right now the temperature is below freezing - what temperature should i wait to fly safely? because this place is heaven and i would like to fly over the frozen lakes and hills :D will flying in 20F weather ruin my drone/batteries? how about in 35F weather?

will probably be a couple weeks for my stuff to come

Welcome back , flying in the cold will affect the batteries , let the quad adjust to the out temp for w few minutes before you try and fly this will allow the gyros to get down to outside temp
Try and keep batteries warm till you going to use it , also hard amp flying can puff the batteries so fly gentle if you can , other than that its the fingers that will feel the cold

cool thanks! so do you mean i should wait til it's above freezing (32F) to fly? Or can I fly even when its like 20F as long as i keep it gentle and keep the batteries warm?

nvm just saw some videos of a guy flying in -29C weather!! im ordering my stuff today :D

You can always get a battery warmer which will help , you need the battery warm when you start to fly
