I had one of the Holy Stone FPV quads for a short time. It sent the video to your phone via wifi. The video was tremendously laggy, making it absolutely unflyable via FPV. Also, it ruined the quality of your video, since you recorded from your phone. It wasn't some small amount of lag, either. It was between two and five seconds of difference between the movement of the quad and the video on the screen.
The quad was slow and unresponsive, though quite stable. That's not saying much these days, though. The "expert" mode did not give you more control authority. Instead, it inexplicably made it flip in whatever direction you pushed your left stick. Very weird, and entirely useless.
I ended up returning mine, and purchased a JJRC H8D, which I like better. It records on a card on the drone, and beams the video via radio to a dedicated screen, and not your phone. I get a fair bit of static, but it's still a lot better than the terrible Holy Stone quad. I'll note, though, if you get one, it's cheaper to buy the quad and the carrying case separately, than it is to buy them together, at least on amazon.
When I left a poor review, Holy Stone bent over backwards to try to please me, in order to get me to remove the bad review. They offered to send me a second quad, without having to return the first. They offered to refund the money without me needing to return the quad, as well. This is why the reviews are so good, while the product more or less stinks. They give things away for free in order to keep the reviews positive. I declined their offers, and returned the quad, and left my review up.
