Was flying around indoors, and was goofing off for the kids. The quad took a couple spills but nothing bad. Was making lots of shifts in direction, high speed mode etc.
My daughter jumped up and snagged the landing skid, (despite my warnings not to get close to the quad when in operation...) and it flipped and hit the floor.
One of the rotors wouldn't turn well shortly after that. (there was physical resistance when rotating the prop by hand) Looked at it and there was some charred looking material near the main gear (see Pic1 and Pic2)
I pulled out my spare quad and cannibalized a motor mount, and a motor, soldered it all up and voila! The quad would fly. I noticed it was favoring that replaced motor however, so i flew for a bit and it eventually dropped. On inspection I noted the same problem, with the same dark material.
What on EARTH is going on? Visual inspection of the motor shows nothing wrong, so it does not appear to be a burned up motor?
