I ordered new motors (emax rs2205s 2300kv) took forever to get here. I get them and all the threads are clockwise when I tighten them. Is there ANY way around it? lock nuts? anything? I really want to fly...
That's what's nice about the older DJI keyed motor shaft and props. The nuts just clamp down on the prop, they don't need to fight any actual prop spin.

Hey Jackson............that's what I thought to..........until my CCW motors spun the nuts off and those two props came off. I have no idea what actually happened...........just all of a sudden I hear the props nuts hitting the metal roof and watch the props fly away.
Right now I got thread locker on the new nuts and am waiting for right and left hand locking nuts.................
I just use the plastic filled nuts, I guessing those are "lock nuts"? They work really well in a crash since they will spin a tiny bit loose and saving the props. I actually found that out today. Rolled my hex over on take off during a pretty decent wind gust that caught me off guard. I have 3 of them on it on the side that hit the dirt. Probably would have broken off my plastic props if it rolled over to the other side.
Some motors do not have opposing threaded shafts. Those do though, i have a set on one of my quads. The next series in the Emax line do not however, and just use lock nuts. Opposing threaded shafts are better. i have had lock nuts spin off, but they will work. just check them once in a while.
