Help selecting Tx/Rx + Cam/VTX on a budget please

Hi folks, I am BRAND NEW to the scene and would appreciate some novice friendly recommendations on finishing a spare parts build I adopted cheaply. All very entry level stuff.

Firstly I need a reasonable but inexpensive Transmitter and Receiver that will give maybe 500m range. FlySky FS-i6s with FS-iA6B look OK but wonder if I should pony up for something more with FrSky support or something? One thing; I would also like a micro FPV quad to build up my skills around the house and would like one transmitter for both quads. I like the look of the Tiny6 and Tiny7 but don't know if these are compatible with the i6s.

Secondly I need an FPV setup for the quad, would prefer to use a monitor or perhaps the phone over goggles as I would like to share the controls with my son and friends etc. I have NO CLUE what parts I will need, nor what parts are compatible so I'm literally flying blind in this area. I would like a clean signal with minimal lag but it doesn't need to be 4k or anything crazy.

What I Have:
Basic CF racing frame
KK2 flight controller
2300kv motors & propellers
1100 mAH battery 3S

Sincerely appreciate your help guys, but I am a total novice so would love a concise parts list ideally. Thanks!

Get the combo with the X6B RX, a definite step up from the older, much heavier and bulky iA6B and the antennas are easy to replace if damaged. A much better fit for a micro FPV quad. With the i6X you can also set it to SBus, but these days most FC software can natively handle IBus.

Either RX will easily surpass that, probably at least double that.

Jackson is right...the Flysky setup will do everything you need. Is Frsky "better"? Yes. More configurability and features. Will you miss it at this level. Nope. And the X6B Rx is nice and cheap these days.$13 on Banggood.

Thanks for that, I will most likely get that i6X and X6B combo. Just double checking it will work with the ancient kk2 flight controller?

Thanks guys. I now have a Hubsan FPV X4 PLUS (with rotor guards) for a fun/practice quad to share with the lad. I've invested in the Liftoff sim also which is going well flying acro using a controller. Will be using a real Tx on the sim ASAP. I agree the Flysky TX is brilliant value, but the Taranis Q X7 is sooo cheap right now and I think its a worthy investment.

I don't want to spend much money on the quad itself in my first post (since I want to build something better once I've learnt more), but is there a chance I can use that Taranis Q X7 with the KK2? What Rx would I choose? Many thanks again for your help.

Sure. I will be using the Tx on sims and across multiple quads in the long run, so am happy to spend more on this particular item.

Thanks to you I now know the kk2 is PWM, after a bit of googling I believe the x8r rx outputs PWM so I believe it's possible the Q X7 could work with the outdated kk2.

Am I unwise to find an rx that will work with this Tx and Fc? Should I instead replace the fc with something more modern with an rx to suit? If so what would I choose?
