what is the effect? I still have connection to the quad. Will it just shorten the range or something?
yes sir that is it. Am I better off just ordering a new one? what will the effect be? Shorter Range? I still have connection to the quad.
Okay I put them up on zip ties but somehow some where it got ripped from the board. I still have connection to it from the one antenna. Will that just equate to shorter range?Hahaha, it is a common problem for freestyle and racing, store your antenna in a little straw that is fixed to the craft.

Most people just solder new ones one, but which ever is easier for you.Am I going to be better off just ordering another receiver? The new receiver just pairs with the controller I already got?

I would not fly without at the very least reheating the solder ad you may have cracked joints. Also may have dead spots, or if the antenna is completely gone you could actually mess up the receiver.am I able to still fly it or will I loose connect to the transmitter? right now it doesn't seem affected but i'm not flying it. LOL will the distance just be shortened? i'm going to buy a new receiver but could will I still get decent distance if I fly it this weekend on one antenna?
yeah i'll add the hot glue to it. I bought another one so I just have to wait the 3 to 4 days for it to come. I'm pissed that I don't get to fly though. I 've had my quad for 2 weeks and have only had the chance to fly twice.I'm glad I saw this post, just realized that the iA6's cardboard enclosure with the open back adds no support/stress relief to the solder joints. I added a dab of hot glue to the joints/area. I suggest you do the same if you replace yours. Actually anyone using the iA6 should.
The Lemon featherweight suffers from the same problem.
