Hey all!
New guy here to practically anything RC. A guy in my town runs a Matrice M600 as his primary, a Inspire1 Pro and a Phantom 4 Pro. He does photography, videography etc. Being into photography, and electronics, (I build, hand solder components etc, custom Star Wars lightsaber prop replicas costing around $500 USD) I started looking into Quads, and wanted to pick up something cheap, durable, etc.
Just picked up a Syma X5C-1 last week, already registered with the FAA and got my number on the Quad, and put roughly 1.5 hours of flight time under my belt on day 1. Unfortunately the main gear on one of the arms was bad and needs replacement, as it wont connect to the pinion, and therefore wont provide lift which has left me grounded. Thankfully on sending the seller a video of the gear, they called it a factory defect and said they would ship me out a new quadcopter as replacement.
Now to try to stave off the anxiety of waiting to get back up in the air
This is where the forum comes in! haha
I have been poking around, and looking at freestyle flight videos of some crazy acro/racing FPV drones. There is so much to this hobby! Glad to be here and rub props with those that know WAY more than me!
See you in the skies!
