Hey guys, new to the drone hobby, just picked up a $150 Parrot Mambo drone (non fpv version) and now i'm hooked.....especially after watching some of JohnnyFPV on instagram and just wow, i would love to get good enough to do anything close to what he can do, and looks like alot of fun!
I'm quickly learning how to handle the quadcopter better by using the simulator/game "Liftoff" anyone on here use that? Making rapid progress!
I've been researching for days what i need to know and still have so much to learn, i was into RC cars in a big way for a few years, soldering my own motor and esc wires was not uncommon, so im familier with esc'c, motors, servos and lipo ratings.
So with this absoloute mountain of info i thought id join a forum to help answer some dumb questions i will come up with along the way. At the moment i'm tossing up the buy or build dilemma. Being in australia there arent drone shops on the corner like i imagine there are overseas, and if they do happen to sell drones its just expensive DJI drones.
Leaning towards buying a kit and assembling my own, struggling to find a drone at the moment that has a well supported and easily accessible spare parts base where i don't have to pay a fortune for international shipping.
