Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

I've been in RC since I was about 10 years old. I flew planes, Helicopters, raced cars and boats and even owned a Hobby Shop for several years. I built my first transmitter and receiver from a kit. It was a Controlair Mule Mark II single channel radio and yes, I actually flew a plane with it.

I've only been into multis for a few months but I've tried a little bit of everything. Just finished a 220 mini racer and have a couple micros but my favorite's the Tarot 650 Sport (even though it still gets the ol' butt cheeks clenching sometimes)

That's sweet RENOV8R, Nice job, very neat build. How about some flight videos? I have a 180 racing quad, a 450 Flamewheeel and a 550 Flamewheel frame kit besides the QX90 all controlled by a FrSky Taranis Plus transmitter. I'm also thinking about a 110mm micro which will essentially be a QX90 with an upgrade to a Naze32 FC, 8ch frysky rx, an upgraded camera/VTX and Chaoli motors. Good wintertime project. The 550 was going to be my camera platform but due to money issues I am going to use the 450 for that. I have a Turnigy 9XR Tx in the 450 which I will remove and sell along with 3 receivers since I don't need them anymore.

Its a tarot 650 frame with emax 380kv motors and 15" carbon fiber props. I run 2 10000 mah lipos wired for 6s. Fc is a tarot zyx-m. My radio is a radiolink AT9. My plan is to install a tarot gimbal with a hero 3/4 with fpv as well. I also have a 280 and a 150 i built . I also have about 10 assorted rc cars and trucks. Rc has been a part of my life since 1983 when I raced the original rc10 ;) and btw thanks for the compliment on my quad!

Your welcome on the compliment, well deserved. I also raced cars around the same time. Raced an Associated 1/8 scale with a K&B 3.5 and Futaba steering wheel radio. That was during the time when I had my Hobby Shop. Me and a couple of friends raced all up ans down the Northeast. That was probably the most fun I've had in RC.

Mustve been really cool having your own shop. I remember going to a national rc car event in New Jersey (im in ct). I remember how amazed I was at how good the pros were. Blew my mind! Welcome to the forum Al ;) The people here are friendly without being condescending . Ive learned alot from these guys.

Ah, the good ol' days. I remember back in the early '80s when things weren't as organized and guys just raced for fun. I've been a bit put off the last few years, as things have gotten way too serious. However, I do still take my 1/5 scale gas buggy to the track IMG_2163.JPG a few times during the summer

Nice looking hot rods guys, I'll see if I can find some pictures or videos to post. I'm on the other side of ct. wildwelder, Delaware. We went to a race in NJ, Milford NJ I think. Yeah it was cool having my own shop. My wife and I rented an apartment right above the shop so it was really convenient, had a nice workshop in the back of the store and every time a shipment would come in it was like Christmas. Didn't make much money but it sure was fun.
