Hello, and thanks for having me.

Hello, and thanks for having me. I'm new to the hobby and can't get enough of it. I came across a toy quad a while back ago. I had so much fun and got real good real fast. I decided I was time to upgrade and bought a few bigger quads from a local Facebook add. The thing is they are so much more powerful and fast, it's hard to control. One is a Spedix 250, and the other is a 250 emax set up, on a bullet frame. I just ordered a Naza lite hoping that will help me maintain control. I'm hearing that I should have just bought a bigger slower quad with GPS already installed, but what's done is done. Any input or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Matt

Welcome! I'm pretty new to this too, but there are a lot of people on this forum that really know their stuff.

Nice quads, fast ones too.

It all depends on what exactly you want out of them. I started with a Syma X8C and a Cheerson CX-10. The I got the little CX-10 to practice indoors and the X8C because I am more in to aerial photography than the acrobatics. I also just ordered a Flying 3D X8 with brushless motors, GPS and it also has telemetry which tells you in real time the elevation, distance from you and more useful info.

If you are in to speed, acrobatics, or a really awesome FPV experience than you picked the right quads for that, but you might want to practice longer with a cheaper quad before you push them hard. Those things are small, but can get a lot of speed and momentum to not only totally crash them, but really hurt someone.

I saw some really cool FPV videos on youtube with the Spedix 250. If I run across them again I'll send you the links.

Welcome to our world, glad to have ya!

Welcome:D

The naza will calm your quad down significantly. Maybe too much lol. I did Install a naza on my 250 for fun once, and it was very stable and smooth, but a little boring since they will not stay in the air long enough for quality arial photography.

Why would it not stay in the air long enough? How long could you stay in the air? Now I'm getting 8 to 10 minutes. Without the Naza. I'm still waiting on it to come in.

Seems like mine lasts around 5 minutes at most with a 2200. I like flying this one more though since its much lighter. 8-10 minutes is very impressive with 220mah :D

I should probably let you know that I'm flying at a beginners level! Mostly just hovering and very slow turns. Lol. I've seen some pretty impressive flying, and I'm hoping that with the Naza on one of the two of my quads, I'll be able to get a better understanding of how to control these things. I'm 36 and remember day dreaming about toys like this as a child.
