cool i got the x5c-1 but hoping to get a phantom soon (flight time is wayyy to short and i want more stable and crips video :'( )...so if u register do you have to print like a liscence plate and slap it on your drone? how will they know if u dont register? do the police come check the drone to see if it has a tag? or is FAA so advanced now they can see it from the other side of the country and fire a laser beam and destroy it?

The registration is $5
The fines if you get accused of doing anything wrong are can be as much as $27,500 and $250,000
For example, let's say your drone had an internal error and flew off all by itself and onto an airport and hit an airplane. You could face jail and a $250,000 fine.
Phantoms have been known to "fly away" either through navigational problems or user error quite often.
TONS of Police out there who do not like drones at all. TONS of hysterical people out there just dying to find a way to get a drone operator busted for "spying".
I'm not trying to scare you but.......oh heck...yes I am....just like the gubbment did to get this passed
