Hi, I am planning on doing a land survey on my uncles 18acre hillside land, more than half covered in woodland.
My quad is flying and able to carry up to 4kgs of camera gear, so my a7 will be a doddle, tho, I need to stick to the gopro copy for practice!
I was going to just make a video of the home and hillside, but as he had been considering opening up trails for 4x4s in the woods, I decided this would be a great chance to try some mapping/survey. We both are experienced in design engineering and CADD, so I think it would be a fun family project...
So... I have an APM 2.8, wireless PC/quad link, software etc... and would like to know what kit I need to produce mapping data? Do I need an optical flow sensor, sonar? I do not believe I need fpv, I'm sure I can program a route using the Mission Planner?
Any info would be fab?
