Trying to format my microsd sdhc card for my drone on a chromebook and it gives me 3 options for formats, FAT32, ectFAT, NFTS which one do I use or is it something else
Thanks I figured it out, turns out my card was to big for the drone. The drone won't work with anything smaller than a 16gb card. Got one on it's way from AmazonFAT32 is pretty typical since it is implemented/compatible with most systems but I believe has a 4GB limit on file sizes (this should be fine unless doing very long HD recordings). ExFAT is same as FAT32 but I believe increases the max file size but is supported by a lot of thing as well. NTFS I believe was developed with windows NT just before windows 2000 so albeit like 20 years old I think is the most modern of the 3 filesystem formats and has much higher limits and I believe is still used in modern versions of windows as the default filesystem. Basically NTFS is supported by windows and lots of others nowadays but FAT32 is the simplest and oldest and one that will very likely have support but might limit file sizes. ExFAT second most likely to have support less limits as FAT32 (believe stood for File access table and switcehed at some point while I was a kid in the 90s from FAT16 to FAT32).
