First Wiring Attempt

Hi All,

Please forgive me for some very newbie questions.

I have printed my platform, and everything is ready to be connected.

First is connecting the motors to the esc (Starting at outside and working in) I have three wires on the motors and three on the esc.

First question, are these connected as a DC + and - with an encoder feed, or are they simply 3 phase motors?

unfortunately I have no connection info with the parts I bought, but I am using EMAX XA2212 / 980 KV motors with a SIMONK30A

Should be 3 phase. Here is a diagram that helped me when I was starting.

2 motors will be wired up reverse. (2 outer wired switched)

Make sure rotation is correct before soldering, or use bullet/banana plugs.

by the way, I have a picture of the first stage of assembly.... I hope it all works
The shoes are only there for scale purposes.

According to the specs, I should have 3.2 kilo lift. the frame, motors and esc's all add up to 802 g

All hobby grade motors should be 3 phase. It does not matter which two wires you switch, any combination of the wires will work. That weight to thrust ratio should be fine, most calculators are fairly conservative on their estimate.

First of all, thank you for your help. Well, some details. The airframe has been 3d printed on a replicator dual with the individual components 'Chemically welded' using a solvent adhesive.

I hope to have the basics of the wiring completed by the end of the week. I am going to be using an afroflight 32 full as a flight controller. I may need some help as far as connecting the gps module and the reciever..... Later, if it all works, I want to go for fpv as well .....
