Hey All,
I would like to build a cheap but good FPV quad. I don't know much of anything about quads. I looked at the Low Cost Mini Quad build videos with the ZMR 250, and I'm sold on that unless there's something better. I'm almost ready to start ordering parts and trying to get this thing together, but the video doesn't mention FPV gear or radio transmitters. I don't have any RC stuff, but I do have access to a great workshop and lots of nuts, bolts, wire, and electrical bits. I'll need to get some sort of FPV goggles or a screen, as well as the radio controller (or whatever it's called—the thing with the thumbsticks that I'll use to control the quad.)
Is that low cost ZMR 250 build the best? (
) Are there slight build modifications that are reccomended?
Also, I don't understand how all the hardware works. Is there somewhere an article or video which explains the basics of ESCs and the compatibility of different recievers and things, firmware, software, etc.?
I want cheap, but not so cheap that it's trash, and am willing to figure out firmware and software stuff as long as I'm not having to do something like write my own code.
