Hello,

First, sorry for my bad english I'm French.. I have a SYMA X5C and i want to create a "good" quadcopter to explore outside with FPV transmission and record with a mobius. It's my first setup and i don't know if this is right :

Hi my friend and welcome to the forum , we need to change some parts in your list , get some good multirotor ESC the quad will fly much smoother , which will help the camera , the props need to be 10x4.7 the ones your looking at are to small for the lift your need on a 450
Going back to the ESC I would go 30amp yes its over the top but safer that way I used proflight ESC they will ship from uk to you here is a e bay link they are not cheap but watch this video and your see why they are worth the extra

Looks like it would work. One of the thinks that makes Afro nice is that is is already flashed with SimonK Firmware. THe BEC seems smaller than some, but that should be fine. You may want to see what Neil thinks though. I have never owned these, just read about them before.

With the motors you have now you want 35 amp ESC at least. Because you need more amperage than draw, and you don't wanting an ESC failing mid air.

Hi mate the afro is ok the BEC can get hot as its not a switching BEC, as your running FPV and want to run 4 cell , why not use a powerful BEC to run FPV and FCB and leave the afro bec unused

I need to change my budget.. I decide to remove FPV part, change flight controller with Naze32, use a 5000Mah 3S, 10x4.7 props, add a battery low voltage alarm.

Also if you want to save on weight a Mutistar 5200mah (made by Turnigy for mutirotors) will save you a lot.

20C 5000mAh (5Ah) would do it, as your not going to be pulling full 30 amp all the time. BTW you really should get at least 35 amp ESC for these motors. You want ~5a higher ability than draw, other wise you may run your ESCs hot and over time damage them. Another thing: your battery comes without the end, and you have to solder one on.


Amp output = C * Ah (not mAh)

I just looked, your going to really want to watch your weight. You should be able to move up to 10'' props if it looks bad. The quad should be able to life at least twice the weight.
