FIRST BUILD PARTS LIST (budget build)

Hello all. first off, I started with a wltoys v666 quad with brushed motors and am certainly ready to upgrade. I've been researching the components and this is what i've come up with:

BUDGET QUAD BUILD:
1) ESC E-TECH SimonK 20A Brushless ESC Speed Controller for Multi copter $5 ea.
2) MOTORS: 2204 2300KV Brushless Motor CW CCW for Mini 250 QAV250 ZMR250 Quadcopter $11 ea.
3) FRAME: 5V / 12V BEC PDB Power Distribution Board/Frame for QAV280 Quadcopter $12
4) FC BOARD: Mini KK2.1.5 KK2 KK2.1 LCD Flight Control Controller Board or CC3D board. $29

Minus the battery packs, I have kept everything under $120.


Now......To my questions....lol
I've seen the integrated ESC's on fleabay which are basically the 4 ESC's in one module. Any input on these??
Since I'm no expert by any means, I would like the quad to have some sort of RTH (return to home) and/or hover feature. So will i need to add a gps or is this something that the fcb does?
My main usage for the quad will be fpv and arial photography. I plan on mounting a mobius camera as well.
Also what is the max distance on most transmitters. My v666 has about a 150meter standard distance which, by adding mushroom antennas i have effectively doubled to approx. 400 meters.
I read about some quads going over 1.5 kilometers. So what do i add for distance?

I know these parts are on the low-end, but as i stated before.....I'm on a budget.

any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

You need to start with an FCB that can handle this like a Naz32 (full) 10dof. It has a magnetometer, barometer/pressure sensor, then you need to grab the GPS assembly.

After doing some more research I have adjusted my parts list accordingly:

5) TRANSMITTER/ RECEIVER: FLYSKY FS-I6 OR FLYSKY CT6B + receiver $49 or $33

Other than price, I do not see much of a difference in the 2 Flysky transmitters. I do want good range tho.

Hello, I am a newbie to this forum but have been flying for about 3 years now. Ive owned multiple rigs and have recently been into AP. I purchased a Phantom 3 pro and have been a lot of fun with it. I now have started a new build off of a Tarot 650 frame. So far I have Tunigy Multistar 4225 390kv to swing 1755 props. My crazy question is... Is there any way to use the FC and camera/gimbal off my P3P and use 30A esc for the motor prop set up? I ask because it seems way easier to just swap it over then to buy a gimbal for either my Sony camera or gopro and have a ground station etc. DJI's is so intuitive (minus the firmware updates which are annoying) and practical. Any input would be much appreciated! thanks !

I am not sure you could use different escs, and I am guessing not since I have seen other posts where you cannot use the phantom fc in replacement of a naza v2. I know on my inspire there is 2 way communication between the fc and the esc which I am sure it is the same for the p3p.

Had you considered selling the p3p to complete the 650, or is it for the use of the camera, and functions that the p3p provides?

Now you got me thinking to get a p3p fc, gimbal, and camera to mount on my 680 just for ap. I think the camera is pretty much the same one that is on the inspire.

I want to keep the P3P... I too have not found anywhere mentioning the possibility of such conversion, though I would try here. I is a great idea in theory because I love how easy to use the P3P is and the quality is amazing for what it is. I think the inspire's camera is pretty comparable to the P3P, but yours has more horizontal range... i would hate to purchase it all and have it not work.
