First Build Issues

Just wondering if someone can help me?
I have been building a Discovery using the following gear:
- Discovery Frame
- DJI Flamewheel 2212 motors
- Lumenier Speed Controllers
- Naza Lite Flight Controller
- Frsky X8R Reciever
- 4S battery
- Frsky Taranis Plus Radio

Completed the smoke test, "No Smoke" :)
I tested all speed controllers and motors linked through channel 3 on the receiver and they all ran fine.
I have hooked the speed controller up and binded the radio to the receiver. On the DJI assistance program I calibrated the radio controls and every thing runs fine.

However once I have connected everything and plug the 4S in and the radio binds to the receiver nothing happens. The motors will not run! It's like there is no power getting to them. Power is running to the receiver and the DJI LED as the lights are flashing once the radio has binded.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

What is the arming procedure?
-I have the Taranis X9D Pro Radio and I believe you ensure all switches are not on and the throttle is down.
-Turn radio on and ensure throttle is down
-Power up the quad and ensure it's binded,
-With the throttle down on the radio push the rudder to the right and hold for 5 sec and release,
- The lights on the controller should start flashing to state that it's armed (the lights flash orange).
- and then you should be good to go.

I have completed this a few times and still the motors will not power up.
I feel there's another step I have missed?

Listening to the video he was saying that I have to remove the power wire from the leed (Black, white and red or Brown red and light brown) that runs from the esc to the controller as the LED already supplies the power. If I didn't do this the flight controller will burn out, this is if you were installing non DJI esc with Simon K firmware. Is this correct?
