I want to build my own quadcopter for my Gopro camera. I have just bought a 3D printer and thought it would be fun to make the frame on my own.
Since it's my first build, I have trouble with deciding what build to make - Items and what to build.
I have found two two different build.

The Mhq2, I have just found that build, and the first one "Crossfire" I have a list with items, since I thought it was the one to make. But, I dont know now. Should I make the quadcopter or the hovership?
For the crossfire, I have been recommended following items:
Motor http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=25555
esc

Props: APC 10x4.7 Slowflyer 2 CW, 2 CCW http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._Propellers_1pc_Standard_1pc_RH_Rotation.html
Battery: Turnigy nano-tech 4S 35-70C http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...apacity_4S_4000mAh_Multi_Rotor_Lipo_Pack.html
Flight Controller: 3D Robotics APM 2.6 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__31138__Multiwii_and_Megapirate_AIO_Flight_
and transmitter : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/RC_PRODUCT_SEARCH.asp?strSearch=9114000020-0+
Anything you would recommend instead? Is it overkill items, I find it a bit expensive
Also, It's the first quodcopter that I will own. I have owned a RC helicopter earlier. I want to build a Quadcopter that is easy to fly- Do I need something for self leveling, or should I go for a gps on it? A guy recommended to get mission plane on the ARM.
I hope you can help a newbie
