Hello! This is my first time posting on a forum, so apologies if I don't follow the rules perfectly or do something wrong. Here we go:
I have finally succesfully built my first quadcopter, that is capable of (reasonably) stable flight. I also have a very good understanding of how the components wire together and what they all do etc., as I have spent a while learning these things.
However I can't understand for the life of me why the quad only flies for 1 minute before dropping down to 3.4V per cell, when I always land it. Xcopter eCalc estimated 10 minutes flight time before the build, but I never even got more than 50 seconds. The battery is healthy and well, and is charged with a balance charger. I am asking for help as I wish to build a second one, but am afraid of ending up with the same problem.
Components used on first build:
2900mAh 3s 30/35C LiPo from Overlander
Multistar MT2213-935KV with 10 " props http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._Motor_and_Propeller_Combo_10x4_5_CW_CCW.html
QBrain Quattro 20A ESC ( 4 20A ESC's in one box.)
KK2.1.5 Flight Control Board
TGY i6 transmitter and reciever
The whole frame including all the electronics and battery weighed in at 931g. The frame was made from 4mm plywood (limited resources) but was laser cut to give an equal distances between motors. The motors didn't seem heat up at all during flight, but the ESC did a little. It is a + quad. That is all really about it, it was very basic and bodged (Coined the Bodgedcopter) . Thanks in advance. If you would like any more infromation about it just ask!
