ESC's getting HOT

Hi, can you help.
I am trying to configure the ESC on my quad but they get extremely hot every time I connect the battery (2s 2000). There are no beeps and cannot get the motors to turn.

Here is the set up I have;
CC3D FCB and PDB
Emax 12A ESC
2204 2300kv Brushless Motor
6030 propeller

Could it be a short circuit due to my soldering or is there another problem that I'm missing. When testing with a multi meter there is a constant connection between all positive and negative connections. Is this normal?

I don't know if it's causing your problem, but a typical setup like this uses a 3S lipo, not 2S.

I think Emax mainly makes 2s-3S ESCs Might get an 8$ multimeter, and do a continuity test. What are you running off the BEC?

I have a 3s 2200 to use when I actually get to fly the thing but was using a 2s from a Syma X8G just to test and configure. Could this be the problem?

When I said the ESC's get hot they are too hot to touch in under a minute.

Unplug your motors, and see if you are getting a connection between ground and hot. Polatiry matters as many ESCs use a diode shorted across positive and negative (backwards)as polarity protection.
