There you go again, you sound like a cop.Uh, no. I wasn't "the dumb pilot", since I haven't been in the UK within the past decade. But having been a military aircraft crewmember as well as in law enforcement, I have had prior contacts with individuals that take the attitude of: "I'll do whatever I bloody well want. And I dare you to do something about it!!!" For those in the position and authority to enforce the rules, regulations, and statutes, it's just a matter of patience, observation, and timing. Sooner or later. The one that "threw down the gaunlet" will slip up and violate something. Maybe not something directly related to the subject of the dare, but something entirely unrelated, and be caught in the act. And it will be a legitimate arrest or citation issued. At thst point, the "challenger" can argue his case in front of the judge. Who will no doubt take note that the violation prosecuted, is entirely unrelated to anything else the violator is arguing. IE: Caught speeding in his car, not flying a drone, etc. Just like if your neighbors make a complaint for a violation. Police are under no obligation to ignore another violation in plain view, unrelated to the initial complaint.
Yeah you not doing nothing wrong but watch yourself because soon as you do no matter what it is we'll get you. Yeah maybe I will do what I want, ha I was doing what I want. Within the rules but that's not getting through occifer.
I'm just giving a situation where a pilot is in a wrong. occifer chuck tenpenny ain't cutting any slack, But for the snake on the mothef#€¿] plane. You would have to be a real cone head to fly drones over an airport & deserve what you get if caught.
I'm not in range of any aircraft facility.
The friend who owns the local 9hole golf coarse didn't know who it was. He was at least 700' on his first pass. I'm only using upto abt 150-200' tops. I mow his grounds now & again go fishing, so early hours or quiet days I fly there. I taught him to fly his quad. He just throws it up at the end of the day before he locks up to see if any is still out. Well he came over & we had a chat about it. I said it's all on video but he only has fpv. We get those motor para sails going over all the time. un intended landings all the time & on the adjacent field. Nothings ever been a problem.
Not many ppl had seen drones as my first few outing did attract occifers of the law
Just acting as they should but once they know the situation. It has not happened for months. Oh it just the local drone flyer & he's OK. Especially now I mostly fly on private land. Occasionally in the local park where I will take an extra quad out for anyone who is interested including a cop once. So you see chuck if you are a good person then the local police are not going to get you on trumped up charges.
