New here but not exactly to flying. Been an off and o dabbler for thirty years. I'm 80 and trying the camera quads. They are a handful. The only real trouble I'm having is trying to get my stupid phone to link up. I have a mjx 16 pro. Been flying by eye but want the camera . If someone could offer advise I be really happy.Thanks people.Chuck

If its not a modern phone without the correct protocol it wont link. You have to read the instructions., But if your phone is old its likely that

There are 2 types of smartphones. One is equipped with 2.4g wifi and the other with 5g wifi.
Your MJX 16 Pro has a camera that requires 5G Wifi connection. If your phone is equipped with 2.4g wifi, it won't be able to connect to the drone's camera, therefore no pictures transmission from the drone to your phone.
In short, you need a smartphone that has 5G Wifi transmission/connection capability. Get a phone that has 802.11.ac wifi.

I finally figured it out. First thing, is you can't get in a hurry and just skimm through The directions like I did. You need to take your time and read verbatem .Even then it might take an average guy a couple of tries. Once mastered it works fine. Thank for the help guys. I'm also making a large shade to add to trans, cause you can't see anything in the sunlight. You would think ,with all the high tech bs that you could it least use your damm phone out side. Oh well , I'm going to shut up right there.
