These are both classics. I like how the clever use of a medicine ball as a part of the landing gear on the second video. It reminds me of my Splash Bombs...
Yep. I was looking for any kind of light foam to cushion the landing. I went to the toy store and they had these. They are pool toys, but they work well and add almost no weight. Now when I land kind of hard, none of my equipment gets a big shock.
have you tied them on water , a quad with floats just like the helicopters they need to keep you high and dry mate , hey may be we should market them as a add on god we could be rich lol
Haha - no, these things absorb water. They are sponges. Someone does need to make some floating landing gear though. I'm surprised we haven't seen that yet. Or maybe a quad that is fully waterproof and can also act like a hovercraft on the water.
There you go MM your make a fortune mate what you need is a floating ring with arms that come up to the quad , if we market it we can go half each lol
UPDATE we have been beaten to it mm

Pool Noodles!! It's the "wave" of the future! One of my buds uses various sizes of rings cut off them and zip tied to the arms. Sometimes he cuts different shapes to put under the body for protection. He has even made pontoons out of them. A 4" x 54" noodle only tips the scale at 104 grams. Hard to beat.
